Health & Safety

While working in the dark room, there are health and safety issues that must be addressed and understood before beginning work. Care must be taken when moving a photograph through the development stage due to chemicals which would prove irritable to skin if made contact with. Slow, careful movement must be ensured in the dark room in order to prevent damaging equipment or someone’s work as well as possibly harming another person. No loose or possibly harmful objects out in the open where someone could trip on, or hurt themselves on, in order to ensure a safe, working environment.
